Training & Education

I am a qualified psychotherapist based in West Cork, holding an Honours Degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling from MTU. Before training as a psychotherapist, I journeyed as a Master Carpenter in construction and landscaping, bringing a hands-on, grounded approach to my work. Over the past fifteen years, I have worked with adolescents in community and educational settings, supporting their mental and emotional well-being.

In addition to psychotherapy, I am a trained meditation practitioner and regularly teach meditation techniques and personal development in both community and mental health settings.

My Approach

I believe that every person is unique, and therapy should reflect that individuality. No two people respond the same way to therapy, so I collaborate with each client to find the approach that works best for them. My role is to provide a safe, supportive space where clients can explore their emotions, process difficult experiences, and gain hope during challenging times.

I have experience working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, as well as neurodiverse and gender-diverse clients. My therapeutic work focuses on empowering individuals to navigate life's challenges, improve mental health, and foster personal growth. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while incorporating mindfulness techniques to promote resilience and emotional balance.
